The Body 00
Based on the new digital fabrication system for innovative textile design I have proposed: to generate parametric forms based on human body information and fabricating them into wearable products using integrated additive manufacturing.
In previous experiment, I have used my head as the source of information and applying different algorithms I set, it generated a series of models corresponding to my head.
Subsequently, I began exploring the visual form of the garment I wanted to create ultimately. Through this physical work I want to convey that in the current digital era, each of us is surrounded by digital elements. These invisible intangible elements, including information, technology, and media, subtly shape and broaden our perspectives, senses, and behaviors. Therefore, in this system, I placed the human body model in a virtual energy field I constructed. This body will deform and grow based on the surrounding force field. It conveys a sense of the tangible human body merging and symbiotically coexisting with the virtual digital.
